Around the Via Flaminia there are paths that lead to real jewels of the Marche region, in the province of Pesaro and Urbino.
The best known destination is definitely Urbino, a UNESCO heritage site with its Palazzo Ducale (Ducal Palace) and the indissoluble bond with Raphael, the ‘gentle painter’ who was born here and developed his delicate artistic talent.
In these areas there are also less known but fascinating places.
In a journey through the rolling hills of the Marche we will visit Piobbico and the Brancaleoni Castle, we will discover the Domus del Mito in Sant’Angelo in Vado and there will also be space for a not very suggestive experience: the Church of the Dead of Urbania (the ancient Casteldurante ), where a crypt preserves the bodies of citizens and religious, who have survived centuries of history thanks to a process of natural mummification.
There will be no lack of gastronomic delights and local specialties to be tasted.
